Happiness is an inside job; it has to come from within, not from your partner, career, or other external factors. If you’re unhappy from within, regardless of how extraordinary your life, partner, or job is, it’ll not give you the desired fulfillment. Today I want to share with you 6 super simple ways to live a happier life.
Happiness is found all around you and in all the things you do, no matter how small or big. It could be small achievements like finishing that long-overdue course. Other outstanding achievements like taking your first step into sobriety by going to a rehab center could be life-changing, to say the least.
To live a happy and healthy life, you must make some life-changing decisions and we all know change doesn’t always come easy. Change is never a walk in the park, and nothing worth having comes easy.
Change is the only permanent thing in this world. You need change to improve, love yourself and be truly happy. You can check out the video below as I share my rock bottom story and my journey to a life of peace, freedom and happiness.
Happy mind happy life
I’m sure you’ve heard this expression before right? Happy mind happy life?
A lot of what we do, good or bad, happy or sad, stems from the decisions we’ve made. We are in control of our lives, or at least you should be and if you’re not you need to fix that, and it’s up to us to choose things that make us feel good.
Unfortunately, not many of us do that all the time. Sometimes we choose things that are not good for us (and we know they aren’t good for us because our gut feelings kick in and you all know what they feel like!) and end up completely miserable or unhappy.
Training yourself to listen to your intuition and rewire your brain to only allow happy good for you thoughts and decisions takes some work and it doesn’t come easy but it’s so worth it.
This brings us to the keys to a happy life that I’m gonna share now.
6 Ways to live a happier life
So we’ve already determined that in order to live a happier life, some changes need to be made. We’ve also determined change isn’t easy, but it’s not impossible either. The question isn’t “can I do it”, it’s “how bad do I want to do it”. So the bottom line really is, how bad do you want to live a happier life?
Before we get into the 6 ways to be happy in life, I just want to share my new course “The 21 Day Challenge” with you. It’s all about making changes in life so you can live the life you deserve and be happy!!

1 Change Your Mindset
Ever heard that you are your greatest enemy? Living with a limited mindset can only take you so far in life. Remember, happy mind happy life!
You need to be your cheerleader. Embrace your strengths, weaknesses, and talents, and establish the core values that will dictate your journey to happy living going forward.
A mindset shift allows you to accept your flaws and inadequacies so that you no longer compare your weaknesses with the strengths of others.
A change in attitude will determine how high you can soar. Get comfortable in your skin. As long as you compare yourself with others, you will not become the original version of yourself – which is vital for happy living.
To become a strong and independent woman, you need to be the best version of yourself first, then the rest will follow.
2 Drop a Bad Habit
Bad habits include addiction, procrastination, anger outbursts, rudeness, arrogance, among others.
It takes great effort, self-will and discipline to break a bad habit, making baby steps a sustainable option. Whatever you do, keep moving as there’s progress in motion, no matter how slow.
Evaluate the total damage these habits cause and decide to take baby steps towards change. The alternative could leave you wondering what could have been.
3 Walk Away
If there is a concept this generation should learn, it’s this one – learn to walk away from life drainers, whether people, places, or activities.
Prioritize your feelings because you cannot always be giving and never receiving. This isn’t selfishness, but rather self-care.
Walk away from that toxic relationship, marriage, job environment, or fake friends and start your journey towards a fulfilling life.
4 Diet Change
To reach your weight loss, self-care goals, or wellbeing, start with a clean, healthy eating regime. Also, incorporate a detox plan semi-annually.
Did you also know that our weight and physical health plays a huge role in our emotional well being? Yup sure does.
Poor physical health can lead to an increased risk of developing mental health problems. Similarly, poor mental health can negatively impact on physical health, leading to an increased risk of some conditions.

More importantly, remember to hydrate as it’ll facilitate your digestion better and leave your skin glowing.
5 Exercise Regularly
A routine exercise combined with a good diet will have you looking like a goddess with time. So, find the right mix of activities and start slowly.
Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, and ADHD. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep better, and boosts your overall mood. It’s no wonder people tell you to go for a walk, run or hike when you’re stressed or angry because it helps clear your head, calm you down and so much more!
Crucially, to achieve your goals, you need commitment, consistency, and discipline.
6 Clean Up
Cleanliness reflects your entire personality and individuality. You do not have to clean up for anyone rather for yourself to maintain a positive environment.
Go to the spa, get that long-overdue massage, get a facial, put on makeup and jewelry, wear clothes that fit nicely, and splash on some perfume.
Even just doing some of these little things (hello mini mani/pedi) can make a world of difference. There’s no doubt that when we do little things for ourselves, by the way that’s called self care and it’s necessary, not selfish, it truly does us make us feel like a million bucks not to mention that it’s key to live a happier life.
If you want to live a happier life do this…
Remember, it’s up to you to decide that you are tired of the life you are now living and you want to live a happier life. You must make the decision to change!! No one can do that for you. No one has the keys to a happy life except you. You are in control and in charge of your life, your happiness, your success, your everything.
So with that said, how bad do you want to be happy?
