Life is full of trials and challenges, and many unexpected events can wipe away the smile on your face. While some changes may seem devastating, they can also result in an opportunity to start over and leave your comfort zone. I believe all problems offer us an opportunity for growth!

It’s normal to feel upset and even sad when faced with devastating circumstances. But as they say, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” So, as life throws its problems at you, I am here to help you take it like a champ with a smile on your face, that’s why I created this article on quotes about happiness!

As life changes, you have to change with it. But it’s not always easy. Our minds have the potential to evolve and adapt to new changes, but many of us keep them shut in our comfort zones and deny the new reality we are confronted with.

As sad as it is, we are the only ones who can bring back the lost smile on our faces.

I would like to share some uplifting quotes with you to give you a bit of hope.

How Quotes About Happiness Make Me Smile

Before I share 60 quotes about happiness that will make you smile, I want to tell you my story and explain why I am writing this blog about happy quotes.

About ten years ago, I reached a point where I had to rebuild my life from scratch. I left my toxic relationship and had nothing of my own. Let me tell you, starting fresh at 50 without money or a job was scary and upsetting. Beginning a new life all by yourself is no easy feat.

But what kept me going was the notion that this change was for the better. The sadness during these phases is temporary and a fair bargain for the light at the end of the tunnel.

Don’t get me wrong. I struggled and hit rock bottom several times, but the important part is to keep coming back. When you’re tired of this miserable living, you have to push yourself because there is more to it!

I wanted to bring meaning to my life and make a fresh start with a smile on my face. To put it into practice, I tried to soak up all the positive energy around me by getting into

  • quotes about happiness,
  • quotes that make me smile,
  • self-help books,
  • podcasts about well-being and mental health.

These resources aided me during this dark time by bringing in a little ray of sunshine, and I thank them for making me smile. After all, we all need something that can bring a smile to our faces during dark and lonely hours.

I look back at that time in my life and feel proud of myself for dealing with those big transitions with a positive mindset and focusing on the bright side. Happiness didn’t happen to me, but I made it happen for myself, one step at a time.

From my own experience, I have curated a collection of 60 quotes about happiness that are bound to bring a smile to your face. You will see many familiar names on this list, such as Mother Teresa, Albert Einstein, and Buddha. It’s joyous and encouraging to see what these prominent personalities say about pursuing happiness.

I want to share these quotes about happiness that really helped me so they may also help someone else. If you are combatting depression or grieving over the loss of a loved one, I hope these 60 quotes about happiness will help you reclaim your joy.

As you read these happiness quotes, I want you to really think about them and feel a connection with the words. If you put your mind to it, you feel some of these quotes will actually move you and channel some of that positivity inside you. Who knows? Some of these quotes may even bring back your smile.

I hope these happy quotes bring a smile to your face just like they did on mine while giving you the courage to navigate through tough times. If any of these quotes resonate with you, let me know by hitting the Pin It button or the Share button!
