What is self compassion? It’s easy to explain it this way. Think of how you treat people you love dearly or how you help people who need help. Or maybe think of a time when you were really compassionate towards another human being or animal.

How to be More Gentle With Yourself
As I mentioned earlier, we are way too hard on ourselves, and this needs to stop. We are amazing and beautiful goddesses, babe!!
Every time you have a limiting belief or a doubtful negative thought about yourself I want you to catch it right away and stop it in its track.
Try doing this instead. Next time you have a negative thought about yourself, replace it with 3 positive, powerful and loving thoughts about yourself. For example:
Instead of saying “I’m too old to try anything new” say this instead “I’ve done so much so far in my life and I know I still have more fun stuff to do!!”
Instead of saying “I’m not smart enough or good enough” say this instead “I’ve handled 100% of all things life has thrown at me. I’m awesome!!”
How to Use Self Compassion Quotes
I’m really not a big fan of affirmations or mantras simply because I don’t think people use them properly or know how to use them effectively. So they don’t work
Here is a great way and valuable tip to help you use your self compassion quotes properly so that they DO work!
I always recommend typing or printing them out on little pieces of paper and sticking them anywhere and everywhere you will see them. I did this for the first year of my healing journey.
Every time you feel a low coming on, go to one of your self compassion quotes that you have taped somewhere and read it out loud. Read it as many times as you need to.
Feel it in your bones, girl!!!
Now while just using self compassion quotes may not be the be-all to end all of your sadness, they are a great way to boost your mood a wee bit. Even if only a tiny bit.
